Dr. Chimere May Ohajinwa is a Gender, Just Transition, and Grievance Redress Coordinator at WAGEDI, with over a decade of experience in public health, environmental sustainability, and knowledge management. Her work focuses on mainstreaming gender across development interventions, ensuring that projects are inclusive, equitable, and responsive to the needs of vulnerable populations.
She leads the design and implementation of grievance redress mechanisms that promote accountability, transparency, and stakeholder engagement, while addressing social, environmental, and labor-related concerns. Dr. Ohajinwa is particularly passionate about advancing just transition principles—ensuring that climate and development initiatives create fair and inclusive opportunities for women, youth, and marginalized communities.
Beyond her coordination role, she is committed to strengthening community systems, supporting evidence-based decision-making, and bridging the gap between research, policy, and practice in Africa.
