West Africa Green Economic Development Institute (WAGEDI), is programmed to adopt five methods and approaches in its operation.

Responsive and proactive research in green economy development so as to provide evidence for information policy making
Facilitating links and dialogue between policy makers and key stakeholders, including private sectors and civil society
Conveying expert forums on key green economy question. it can be monthly, quarterly or annually, depending on the issues at the moment.
West Africa Green Economic Development Institute (WAGEDI) will ensure networking and collaboration with Nigerians, Pan African and international institutions focused on overcoming common green economy challenges through the supply of research evidence for policies (e.g. Ethiopian Research Institute [ERI]; African Technology and Policy Network Studies [ATPS], Kenya).
• Consulting services for policy and institution reforms, training and capacity building (e.g. organizing consultancy services to government and private sectors).
